NPP WILL RESCUE GHANA FROM INCOMPETENT NDC, SAYS AKUFO-ADDO


The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, says Ghana does not need at this time, “leaders who lack the vision that can move the country forward.”

Addressing students at the Great Hall of the KNUST, on the 10th anniversary celebration of TESCON, Nana Akufo-Addo noted “small minds with little visions don’t build nations” adding that “he is confident that with the right leadership, Ghana can be compared to the leading countries of the world.”

He said “the kind of future that the Ghanaian people aspire cannot be attained by this visionless, incompetent and mediocre NDC government that is currently in office” adding that “our energies have to be directed towards building a forward moving and progressive Ghana with an economy that can provide all our people with jobs, jobs and jobs.” Read more…

TESCON is 10 Years – A Decade in Perspective


On Saturday, the 8th of January 2000, the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party was inaugurated at the courtyard of the Independence Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. On 31st October, 2011, TESCON, under the auspices of the KNUST branch is holding a student rally to climax its 10th anniversary celebrations. And on this occasion, I congratulate all past and current members of TESCON for their role in the political development of Ghana.

 As the Fourth Republic grew, the students’ wing of the NPP assumed certain distinct roles. Not only were they watchdogs and advocates against the educational policies and decisions of government, they were also effective advocates for the party on various national issues on the campuses. ATTN: BEN EPHSON SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO STUDENTS IN CAPE COAST


My attention has been drawn to a comment purported to have been made by Pollster Ben Ephson in the Wikileaks (cable 08ACCRA1473, GHANA ELECTIONS: POLLSTER SEES A SQUEAKER), where he alleged that the NPP paid students in Cape Coast, an amount of 100 Ghana Cedis each to get their votes transferred to the constituency in other to enhance the electoral chances of the then Parliamentary candidate of the NPP.

As the TESCON President and student representative on the NPP Regional campaign team at the time, I wish to bring to the attention of all, that, the purported claim made by him it’s a palpable lie and should be treated with absolute contempt. Read more…
