50 out of 822 Lies of the Mahama-Amissah-Arthur NDC Government

As Ghanaians prepare to elect their leader on December 7, 2012, I present to readers 50 of the 822 promises made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prior to the 2008 general elections. Kindly read and make your own judgment about the Caretaker president, John Mahama and his party as he lies to you again.

  1. They NDC promised to reduce fuel prices drastically – a gallon of petrol has increased from GHC3.60 a gallon in 2008 to GHC8.0, showing a drastic increase in price in the last 4 years.
  2. The late Mills promised to consult Rawlings 24 hours a day – Before his death, he was not on talking terms with former President Rawlings. The General Secretary of the NDC, John Asiedu Nketia has made the founder of the party a “barking dog”. Read more…

2008 NDC Manifesto: A Tale of Broken and Unfulfilled Promises

Today, the ruling National Democratic Congress presented to Ghanaians the platform upon which they wish to be re-elected at the December polls.

But before Ghanaians study what the NDC wishes to offer Ghanaians in their 2012 Manifesto, let us remind ourselves what they promised to offer in 2008 and compare to what they have been able to deliver.

Among the litany of broken promises by the NDC include:

  1. Employment opportunities for all those who are willing and able to work. (Page 46). The NDC believes that it is the business of the state, both directly and indirectly, to create jobs for the people, particularly the youth. The NDC`s strategic objective is to provide every Ghanaian with a job from which they can earn their livelihoods. (Page 60)
  1. A onetime premium payment for registration with the [National Health Insurance] scheme. (Page 68) Read more…

NPP DENIES HERALD STORY

The attention of the New Patriotic Party has been drawn to a publication by the Herald Newspaper titled “NPP Invite people to Nana Addo’s swearing-in” in which the paper states that the NPP has began sending out invitations, via Facebook, to people, asking them to attend “The Swearing in Ceremony of H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.”

This publication is clearly a concoction intended to create disaffection for the party and its Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, by a newspaper, which over the years, has been remarkable for its absolute creativity and total disregard for the truth.   Read more…

PRESS CONFERENCE: VIGILANTE AGAINST PROPAGANDA (PART II)

NDC, led by chief propagandist Fiifi Kwetey last week threw more propaganda to Ghanaians on what they call “the provision of critical economic infrastructure”
We would normally not bother with such clearly childish Propaganda. After all, these are the same people who made such loud claims only to go before Parliament and grovel for forgiveness for their lies and unfounded claims (Victor Smith is the latest culprit).

But for the records, we have to expose the propaganda now. Fiifi Kwetey says it is not difficult for the NDC to “point to solid accomplishments in three years”. The single question then is, if the accomplishments are so easy to see, why is Fiifi Kwetey trying so hard to point them out to us? Fiifi Kwetey talked about completed projects in the NPP reports. CASTLE COMMUNICATIONS MACHINE MUST STOP LIES AGAINST AKUFO-ADDO

The New Patriotic Party condemns in no uncertain terms desperate, irresponsible and criminal efforts by the Communications Directorate of the Presidency, at the Castle, controlled by Koku Anyidoho and Stan Dogbe to shift public attention from the biggest corruption scandal ever in Ghana’s history.

They have sought to do that by returning to what they know best; insults and lies against the personality of the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the NPP. Read more…

Has Mills lost touch with honesty?

President Mills returned from New York on New Year’s Eve to say that his Christmas trip was so successful that he had “killed two birds with one stone.” He didn’t exactly manage Zita Okaikoi’s feat of “killing two stones with one bird” on her trip to New York, where she had a baby and attended to some tourism duties. Our President, essentially, took an early holiday in New York in order to work during the Christmas break in New York. Bless him!

Koku Anyidoho, reportedly, briefed journalists at the Kotoka International Airport on Christmas Eve, the day of Mills’ surprise departure, saying that the President was returning to America, a week after his last trip there, to follow-up with some US investors he met at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). He was expected to return on January 2, though he eventually returned early on December 31. Why the early return? Read more…
